I am sure that my story is one that many can relate to; for most of my life I have only enjoyed activities that require minimal effort and commitment. My leisure time largely revolved around computer games and fast food, as a result my physical and emotional health suffered significantly. Despite knowing that I was unhappy I did not have the drive or desire to change.
After years of being bullied by a colleague, I chose to take control, no longer was I content for my weight to define me. I started gently, by exercising within the safety of my own home as well as beginning to alter my food choices. I subsequently have gone on to lose a total of 6 stone in weight and discovered a passion for exercise. During my journey a friend invited me for a run, despite having avoided running in the past with my increasing confidence I gave it a go. I was shocked to discover that I am a natural runner and have since completed a half marathon, full marathon and have pushed myself to learn to swim at the age of thirty-four in order to complete a triathlon.
Becoming a Personal Trainer is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have an unwavering enthusiasm to support others in reaching their health and fitness potential in every aspect of their lives. Making our training sessions fun and enjoyable for me is key, whilst delivering real results.
